Rattan tea, the dry leaves of Ampelopsis grossedentata. It is mainly distributed in Hunan, Hubei, Yunnan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Jiangxi and other places in China. Compared with the production areas in China, the quality of rattan tea (dihydromyricetin content) is positively correlated with latitude and altitude, especially the quality of Youyang (Tujia nationality) in Chongqing and Lichuan (Wuyishan) in Jiangxi.
In the Announcement No. 16 of 2013 issued by the Department of food safety standards, monitoring and evaluation of the National Health Commission on January 6, 2014, it approved the leaves of Ampelopsis grossedentata as new food raw materials. This means that rattan tea can be used as a common food raw material.
Ampelopsis grossedentata, a unique plant in China, has the effects of clearing heat and detoxification, anti-inflammatory and analgesic, dispelling wind dampness and strengthening muscles and bones. Its main active ingredient is dihydromyricetin, which can be up to 40% in dry leaves. Dihydromyricetin (DMY), whose chemical name is (2R, 3R) - 3,5,7-trihydroxy-2 - (3,4,5-trihydroxyphenyl) benzodihydropyran-4-one, belongs to flavonoids. The molecular formula is c15h12o8, the relative molecular weight is 320.25, it is white acicular crystal, and the melting point is 245-246 ℃. It has low solubility in normal temperature and cold water and is easily soluble in methanol, ethanol and acetone.
Flavonoids generally have broad-spectrum antibacterial effects, and dihydromyricetin is no exception. In addition, it also has antioxidant, anti fatigue, hypoglycemic, anti alcohol and liver protection and auxiliary anti-tumor effects.
(1) Broad spectrum antibacterial
Dihydromyricetin can inhibit and kill a variety of bacteria and fungi
(2) Oxidation resistance
Dihydromyricetin can reduce the production of MDA and improve the activities of SOD and GSH Px, so as to play an antioxidant role.
(3) Anti fatigue
It plays an anti fatigue role by promoting the biosynthesis of mitochondria in skeletal muscle and regulating the dynamic changes of mitochondrial division and fusion.
(4) Reduce blood sugar
Dihydromyricetin can inhibit the activity of aldose reductase in a concentration dependent manner, so it has a potential hypoglycemic effect.
(5) Relieving alcohol and protecting liver
Dihydromyricetin can increase the expression of hippocampus and neurons and play a role in resisting alcoholism and alcohol dependence,
In addition, dihydromyricetin can effectively increase the level of reduced glutathione (GSH) in liver, reduce the level of MDA in liver, reduce the amount of triacylglycerol (TG), reduce hepatocyte steatosis, and have a significant protective effect on ethanol induced liver injury.
(6) Adjuvant anti-tumor
It can inhibit the proliferation of hepatoma cells, breast cancer cells, prostate cancer cells and bladder cancer cells, and promote the apoptosis of many tumor cells. The mechanism is related to inducing apoptosis of tumor cells, blocking the cell cycle of tumor cells, inducing autophagy of tumor cells, and inhibiting the invasion of tumor cells.
Antibacterial, can be used as food preservatives.
Antibacterial and antioxidant. It can be used in cosmetics as antioxidant and bacteriostatic agent.
Jiejiu Baogan can be used for Jiejiu Baogan food or health food. Powder or tablet candy is recommended.
Hypoglycemic can be used in health food for prevention and treatment of diabetes.
Anti fatigue, can be used for sports drinks or food.
It can be used as a health food for adjuvant treatment of cancer.
