Basic information
Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide compound formed by condensation of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine through peptide bond. It is the most important low molecular mercaptan to resist oxidative stress in mammalian cells. It was discovered in 1921, and its chemical structure was determined in 1930. Dr. Al Mindel, a famous nutrition and health care expert in the United States, called glutathione a tripling anti-aging amino acid, also known as the antioxidant master of nature. The appearance of glutathione is colorless transparent slender granular crystal, soluble in water, dilute alcohol, liquid ammonia, dimethylmethylchemicalbook amide, Insoluble in ethanol, ether, acetone. Its aqueous solution is easily oxidized to oxidized glutathione in the air, which is widely found in yeast, wheat germ, animal liver, chicken blood, pig blood, tomato, pineapple, cucumber, among which wheat germ and animal liver is the highest, the content is up to 100 ~ 1000mg/100g. It has the functions of anti-oxidation, scavenging free radicals, detoxification, enhancing immunity, delaying aging, anti-cancer, anti-radiation and so on.

Function of Glutathione
Glutathione has a broad spectrum of detoxification, and can enter the body of toxic compounds such as acrylonitrile, fluoride, carbon monoxide, heavy metal ions or carcinogens, and promote their excretion, can be used in the above substances treatment of toxicities.
It has anti-allergic effect and can treat the allergy caused by the imbalance of acetylcholine and cholinesterase in human body.
It can protect the liver and inhibit the formation of fatty liver. It can not only be used as liver protection agent, but also as feed additive. It can protect the liver of fish and cattle.
Scavenging free radicals in the body. Free radicals can damage cell membranes, promote aging, and cause tumors or hardening of the arteries. It has anti-peroxidation effect on human cells and can also improve the antioxidant capacity of the skin and make the skin shine.
difference between glutathione and reduced
Usually glutathione is referred to as reduced glutathione, because glutathione is easy to be oxidized into oxidized glutathione, in order to distinguish, added the reduced prototype; That is, reduced glutathione tablets and glutathione tablets are the same drug, mainly to distinguish from oxidized glutathione. So there is no difference between reduced glutathione and glutathione.
